End caps do not need to be installed; the cover can be pressed into place without them. The cover protects the LED strip from dust and impacts and smooths the lighting. The opal (milky glass shade) cover best conceals the LED strip's light dots. Please note that the opal cover also reduces light transmission according to the table below, so take this into account when selecting LED strip power.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe black cover works best with a black profile. Light transmission is lower with the black cover, so choose a more powerful strip when using the black cover!
